Sprint has finally gotten the Samsung SPH-A700 up for sale – 400 bucks free and clear, or $250 with a two-year indenture. The SPH-A700 is a nice enough clamshell, if a little too round and oddly-colored for my taste, but its main claim to fame is its ability to work with Sprint’s MobiTV offering, the streaming video service that works over Sprint’s existing Vision platform. What I’ve seen of MobiTV hasn’t really impressed me, but as a service that’s available everywhere, it’s pretty much the only game in town right now (AT&T Wireless’s EDGE-based offerings is likely-superior (I haven’t seen it), but it’s only available in two markets at the moment).
