Packard Bell Pocket M@stro

PC vendor Packard Bell is releasing a 5GB hard disk-based player called the Pocket M@estro (get it? The @ means it has something to do with the internet or maybe computers). The player will support MP3 and WMA, transfer via USB 2.0, and has an OLED screen (I would expect a two-color version, though, not the fancy full-color variety). And the battery life looks pretty terrible – only about seven hours per charge of its Li-On battery. I mean, if you’re running behind the iPod in battery life, maybe you should get a new battery.

Packard Bell says the Pocket M@stro will be “slightly larger than a credit card,” which of course means it will be about the same length and breadth, and about 15 times as thick.
