Oakley has their official product page up for their Thump MP3 sunglasses, and I have to admit, except for the typical tragic Oakley styling, they look pretty cool. Available in both 128MB and 256MB models, the Thumps have a USB 2.0 connection, can play MP3s and even rights-restricted WMAs, and have up to a 6 hour playback time (which sounds short, but do you really want to wear a bigger battery on your head?) They even addressed one of my initial concerns and made the built-in headphones highly-adjustable, so getting a snug fit shouldn’t be impossible.
Too bad they look like the sort of thing that would happen if Batman quit fighting crime and starting managing a Lenscrafters. (Thanks, Taka!)
