Everyone that I had spoken to about the Logitech Cordless Headset for Xbox was pretty excited about it, perhaps a little bit unreasonably so. It is, after all, just a headset, and it’s not like a lot of people are playing games on Live while doing aerobics or hiking into the mountains or something, so the wireless part is only so necessary. IGN’s review pretty much shuts down what little desire I had for it in the first place, as they say not only that its audio quality in both the microphone and the speaker is only so-so, but that the mute button’s over-firmness requires face-smashing force and has no feedback to indicate if its on or not, either.
For an $80 Xbox Live headset I want perfection, and it looks like it falls way short. Well, that and I don’t have Xbox Live.
