Okay! Here’s that proper announcement from Canon we were expecting about the EOS 20D. The 8-megapixel digital SLR definitely ups the ante in the whole Canon/Nikon game. I can’t wait to see some proper reviews.
The EOS 20D wasn’t the only Canon announced, though, with the seven-megapixel G6, five-megapixel A95, and three-megapixel A400 all showing up in one form or another, too. There are reviews of almost all of the cameras (except the 20D, of course) out today, and Photography Blog has a nice collection of links that they’ll keep adding to throughout the day if you’d like to toss them some links.
Oh, and even thought DPReview has been told not to post sample images of the D20, Canon Japan has three sample shots you can chew on for now. The fruit and ice one made me giggle a little.
