Comment on Exclusive Belkin WiFi Skype Phone Review - First Anywhere! Bought this phone about a week ago. Can't hear the other party although
they can hear me. Spent about 4 hours over the last week trying to
resolve it with Belkin tech support over the phone an e-mail. All they
do is take your info over and over and advice you to reset the phone and
upgrade the firmaware. What a scam. The phone is going back to the store
and I will know better than to by Belkin products in the future.

Hi, I recently purchased and installed the phone for my boss. However, I found out that when I Skype Out to a business phone w/ extension #. The phone will not accept further #'s such as extension. Does anyone notice that? Is Netgear's wifi phone better than Belkin's such as callling a # w/ extension?

kellen

Excellent phone. Nice reception. I save a lot of money using it at office. Just one problem, the battery has to be charged every day, it last only few hours if the use is heavy.

enaumko

This looks like a neat phone. I don't know what the deal between Belkin and Skype is, but I hope that the phone can use other VoIP services, like FWD or Gizmo Project. Does someone know if this will be at all possible?

JavaGeek

That 5 - 10 minute call dropping happens to me over Vonage too. After hours with tech support I was told that some older cable modems do not always handle VOIP packets correctly, causing calls to be dropped. May be the same problem, though I've not bought a new modem yet to test. Anyone else found this to be an issue?

nocar

I just checked the Skype online store, its available for pre-order for $189. Thats better than the Net Gear wifi phone which priced for $299. Seriously though, if you your going drop over $200 you might as well wait for the mylo and get more bang for your buck. Click the link below for the skype store.

Does this work with SkypeIn? What's the price?

I'm not a huge fan of the idea of committing that much money for hardware for a service that may not always be the most advanced, but I do really like my SkypeIn right now.

weatherman
