And one of the Mythbusters' subjects was proven to be susceptible to placebos, so his results had to be completely thrown out.

In any case, yes, this may work or it may not. In either case, it's only relevant to people who actually suffer from motion sickness. And even if it's useless, if you fall for placebos, this could work for you.

My advice: take Ginger pills. It really is phenomenal stuff, and it's probably cheaper in the long run.
dukerayburn

Have one. Works entirely as advertised.

I tried it out for the first time recently on a 3 week tour which included two plane flights (between the US and Turkey, so they were long), two boat rides (both many hours long), and over 2 weeks of riding in a bus. All of these have made me sick in the past. When I started feeling sick I put on this wrist band. Symptoms went away after a few minutes. Maybe it's placebo, but I don't care, it still works for me! :)
raj

I've been using this for years and found it an enormous help on boat trips. I used to get naseated quite easily, but find that the reliefband seems to ward off the worst effects. Certainly better than dramamine.

Worth a try for those who haven't had luck with ginger or other traditional remedies.
rikomatic
