I remember seeing the one with the landing gear too, I think was called the icle-car or some crud like that. I also think they raced em in France briefly. I kinda wonder what's with the openings near the back, they don't appear to be for aerodynamic purposes. Maybe the landing gear foles down from within the hole.

From the looks of the pic, your legs are still exposed. Looks like dude is wearing jeans and boots. Good for stopping I guess, but it still looks a little akward though.

I saw a similar vehichle on the tube that basically had aircraft landing gears that came out the sides to stop you from falling over when you were going less that 5 mph. Where do that guys legs go?
