This thing made sense when it was released for the Xbox 360 (which doesn't support a mouse and keyboard in ANY game), but why would you need it for the PS3? Because although there are loads of USB ports, only a handful of games (UT3, Resistance) let you actually use something else besides the standard controller to play. It also lets you plug in PlayStation 2 DualShocks. The only downside? It's $99. [TotalConsole]

<![CDATA[ Guitar Hero for Mini Mes ]]> If your manhood is less than 2cm; (yeah, I went metric on you), chances are your hand span is not too great either. Help is not far, Frodo, as XFPS have entered the niche market with their super-tiny Guitar Hero controllers.

Not only could this possibly be the cutest accessory to date that didn't have the Hello Kitty branding across it, it will also brighten the little lives of all those in Middle Earth. Screw the ring, throw this around your neck friends and rock on! Though it may at first seem to be somewhat of a gimmick, these tiny guitars are expertly crafted from real wood and the whammy bar is genuine metal, no less. The controllers are fully functioning with backlit buttons and are currently available for the PS2 and XBOX 360 at $69.90 each. The XBOX 360 version isn't compatible out of the box; you'll have to invest in an adapter at $69.90. The price of small time gaming, unlike the size, will be daunting to all but the most serious enthusiasts.

<![CDATA[ XCM XFPS Xbox 360 Keyboard/Mouse Adapter In Action ]]> Despite whatever feelings you may have on the "fairness" of using a keyboard and mouse controller when others are using the joysticks, here's a video on how the XCM XFPS adapter actually works. You can assign different keys on your keyboard and mouse to map to the buttons on the 360's controller (video of that after the jump).

The whole process seems pretty straightforward, and the results actually look pretty good. Call of Duty is responsive, and aiming seems much easier than using the joysticks. You'll have to use a wired gamepad, however, so Xbox 360 premium users are out another couple of bucks.

<![CDATA[ XCM XFPS Xbox 360 Keyboard/Mouse Adapter Available Now ]]> If you hate using the Xbox 360's dual joystick controllers to play Gears of War, now's your chance to pick up the XCM XFPS keyboard and mouse adapter for the 360. Not only does it allow you to use a PS/2 or USB keyboard and mouse, you can also hook up a PS2 light gun, a PS2 guitar, or a PS2 dancing mat, none of which are really supported on the Xbox 360 gamewise.

However, you can hook up a PS2 Dualshock or a PS2 Racing Wheel, which should work fairly well on a 360. The bad news is that the adapter costs $79, but if you're a traditional PC gamer that's dying to get back your keyboard and mouse, it may be worth it.

<![CDATA[ XCM Brings PC-style Gaming to Your 360 ]]> Miss using your keyboard and mouse to play first-person shooters? XCM is bringing old school PC gaming to your living room with the XFPS 360. The tiny adapter plugs into your Xbox 360's USB port and lets you connect either a USB or PS/2 keyboard and mouse directly to your system. I could never get into the keyboard and mouse routine when gaming (maybe I was using the wrong combo), but most hardcore gamers favor that over a clunky gamepad. To each their own. The XFPS 360 is currently in prototype. More pics after the jump.
