I went to the Planned Parenthood MN, ND, SD Action site and donated money I was going to spend on a hot new pair of sandals. Money well spent.

We are going to the Black Hills for a family reunion next week and I can hardly wait, but it always makes my stomach hurt to interact with people. I always run into anti-abortion whack jobs who seem to go out of their way to proselytize about it. It's like they can tell I'm a brazen sex pusher.

OK, for the heck of it, I am giving you my Supah Sekrit favorite tscheese recipe (sekrit no longer!) - - and ps, it's totally lame but really kills the cheese urge when you need it to: Grate pepper jack cheese (tscheese) over the tortilla scoops chips and put in microwave for 30 seconds. Presto, change-o, cheapy nachos! I am glad there is no mommy cam on me in my house, because I would be embarrassed to admit how much I eat that for lunch with bb on my lap.

This website machine contraption thingamajig is going crazy! I can't make comments and I'm so scared and lonely. Somebody hold me.

So yeah, here's the deal: most of those romances are done by contract writers for relatively little money, like maybe $1,000 a book and the authors turn in a couple books a year. Things have changed a lot in the Harlequin business--they're now branching out into hot erotica novels, and fantasy-laced novels and chick-litty books b/c obviously the old Cinderella-y rape fantasy things don't fly the way they used to. There's something for everyone. If you google "how to write romance novels" you'll come up with a fair amount of info. Or just go to Harlequin's website. They're one of the few publishers who still work directly with authors who dont' have literary agents.

Thanks for understanding what I was trying to say. It's hard to get meaning across sometimes and I'm glad to see I wasn't completely incompetent.

Can I just say your comments were Rockin' today, you cracked me up! Way to go and keep up the wittiness-ness!

I am bummed you're not coming to the NYC meet-up! But I live in Brooklyn, so I know how it is having to drag-ass back and forth across the rivers.

tscheese on Jun 25, 2008

Wish I could make it to this next NYC meetup, folks. But it's a little late for me to get out to Brooklyn and back and still make the last bus to Jersey. Next time, though! Keep me posted!

Yeah, I wish it were at Happy Hour time instead; I will suggest that for next time (although I have no sway!).
