"It's not a good deal considering the company is going chapter 11 and you'll be SOL if replacement parts can't be found if something were to go bad.
So you'll have to get a 3rd party warranty for this - make sure to read their fine print on what they consider bad pixels for it to be considered for replacement - it's not always what the manufacturer says it is."
"I've always found projection to actually look better - smoother picture, no pixelation issues, no dead pixel issues and dimness is always solvable by turning up or replacing the lamp.
Lamp costs were always the downside of DLPs, and now with the LED DLP tvs, that went away, but the first generation did have brightness issues.
2nd gen LED DLP tvs have now resolved that issue, and on the new LED DLPs, the brightness has to be actually turned down.
I'm pretty sure the next tv I get will be a 67" LED DLP once I can justify replacing my 61"."
"Pfft, all you wussies haven't lived until you've eaten chicken curry and naan from a roadside vendor while traveling through India..
Once your intestines galvanize enough to protect you from that, there's no gas station hot dog that could challenge your intestinal comfort."
"Hmm lets see, Microsoft colluded with Intel and computer manufacturers to put Vista Compatible stickers on machines that no sane person would even expect XP to run well on.
Then Vista got a bad reputation because it ran like crap on Vista Compatible rated hardware.
Then Microsoft has their panties in a bunch that their shady business practices shafted their new OS.
I'd much prefer to call that poetic justice.
Mind you, I run Vista on my HTPC at home - it's got hardware RAID, 6 Gigs of memory, HD3870 video card and Vista 64 runs like a champ on it."
"As the owner of a w810i, I have to ask if they have addressed any of the big issues with the previous phones:
- Adding hiss to all music tracks you put on the phone
- Absolutely horrible connection dongle for headphones - why is it so hard to put a microphone jack in the bloody phone?"
"Ooooh pretty.
Oh well, not like there's Netflix Watch Now support like there's in Vista Media Center.
Ultimately, functionality is more important than something that looks good as a screenshot."
