Josh goes over the Nintendo DS Opera Browser for his DS Lite in a 7 minute review. If you're interested in how this looks on a real-life system, reading sites like Slashdot, Digg, and Gizmodo—Which looks and runs perfectly fine, says Josh, except for the Youtube videos, because Flash isn't supported. Loading is kind of slow, but functionality-wise, everything works fine.
Here's a followup review. Check out the video for all of his thoughts.
Nintendo DS Browser Review [Joshua Zimmerman - Thanks Josh!]

I really wish I knew Japanese right about now. I would order that in a heartbeat.
1.5-3 (slashdot - cnn) minutes load times? ZOINKS! I wouldn't call this a "very functional browser that works very well". Yick.
What 12 y/o do you know goes to CNN, personally thats a non issue for me.
What 12 y/o needs a browser, or one that doesn't do flash? Regardless, 1.5 min on something as simple as /. is a long time.
To me that video proves that the browser doesn't work at all. Even on Gizmodo with a reasonably narrow column of text you still need to zoom from left to right to read each line.
Web browsing simply doesn't work on small low res screens.
Given how slow the DS's processors are, I think 1-3 minutes is pretty damn good already (you have a 33MHz and a 66MHz CPU).
Even browsing a modern website on a sub-GHz PC can be quite painful...
Hey Josh, you said that "this version doesn't support Flash". Does this mean that there will be possible updates?
