Great for getting a group of people online from a job site, or perhaps at E3, the Kyocera EVDO router has four 10/100 ports and one slot for an EVDO PC card. It supports up to 2.4 Mbps download, which pretty much as fast as you can go right now.
Users can use the 802.11b/g connection or plug their computers directly into the ethernet ports. All the standard router features are there, firewall, DHCP, NAT and access control.
Available at the Kyocera store for $299.99.

we made extensive use of this in an RV for the past month or so. other than having to give it a power cycle from time to time, it maintained a usable network at 70mph. this is one of the best ideas in at least six months.
The folks over at Junxion have got to be sweating bullets. AFAIK they had this market to themselves for over a year.
This thing works great. Brainless config etc. etc. Have tried the Merlin V620 from Novatel for Verizon and the Merlin S620 from Novatel from Sprint. Have found that using the Verizon one requires a power cycle periodically if you let it go idle for too long(hours not minutes). Not a showstopper though, and I'm sure that a later firmware update may fix that issue. This thing is already a big hit, when the price goes down, it will be a must have for everyone with aircards. Also works great getting on EVDO with my Samsung A900 due to the USB on the router.
This device isn't new - I've known about both the Junxion and Kyocera for some time. Maybe it's just more readily available now... (There's also a do-it-yourself version using an embedded 486 and a custom Linux distribution...).
Kyocera will soon be announcing firmware RK1010 that provides full support for the U720/USB720 as well as the PX500/PC5750.
As with prior firmware releases, EVDOinfo.com and 3GStore.com are first to sell KR1 routers with this new firmware! ...for more info, read:
