TravelPost was nice enough to write up a definitive guide about the wireless internet connections at the major U.S. airports. If you are anything like me, a laptop is required for self-entertainment while waiting to be groped by security followed by sitting in a stinky, stuffed plane for hours. This guide shows what type of Wi-Fi is available, the providers, where it is available and the prices of said Wi-Fi. It is a nice list if you are planning a trip and want to prepare accordingly.

Screw their list.
The list seems out of date; it lists Philadelphia Terminal A West as planning to offer access in summer 2006.
PHL terminal B/C is expected to have FREE access in October 2006.
While they're at it, howzabout some hints as to where to find power outlets too? JFK has an OK setup at the JetBlue terminal, but Fort Lauderdale and Atlantic City you really have to scrounge (or sit on the floor next to a garbage can.
Hey - if you guys wanted to use our logo graphic for our university wireless network (see https://www.washington.edu/computing/wireless/wireless_logo/
) you at least could've asked or at least attribute where it came from.
I thought you had more class at Gizmodo.
AirportWiFiGuide.com is another good site with an up to date airport wifi guide. It also has a cool interactive map that let you find the airports easiler.
