Sony 8GB MicroVault Pro

microvault_1.jpgSony's new 8GB, 1-inch MicroVault Pro HDD comes intact with a sleek design and USB swivel connector—able to plug straight into your PC or laptop's USB port. About the size of a business card—but, you know, thicker—it's designed for frequent travelers and comes pre-loaded with Sony s Auto Sync synchronization kit for updating your files easily, actually letting you retrieve up to ten generations of stored file. Expect a retail price of about $235.

  • Why would I spend $235 on an 8GB pocket drive when I can wrap a faulty Armadillo in tin foil like that guy in Spinal Tap for less? Oh, thats not the same thing, sorry. This looks nice. Now how about a RAID set on 1" drives!

  • yea, thats a bit.. much IMO for an 8GB pocket drive! I'd just go and buy a nice 40GB laptop drive and put it in my nice 3.5" external hd case... sure i don't have the backup options but who actually uses that (well, those of us who know how to recover data don't)? I was hoping this was a news post on a super high capacity MS Duo pro card, i can only wish for one for my psp and w800i.. ;)

  • The lacie orange 8GB lists for US $140
