For anyone who wants to get running with the Nike+iPod Sport Kit but is disinclined to drop a hundred bucks on a new pair of special Nike+ kicks, comes the RunAway AnyShoe adapter. This $8 weatherproof sensor holder attaches to your running shoe's laces and has an easy-to-access button to turn the sensor's wireless signal off for air travel—which is a slight improvement over the Nike+ shoes, which require you to remove an insole to get at the device.
The RunAway is available in five colors to match even the orangest of sneakers. Get your training groove on this way for $30. It is an investment that'll reap rewards in more runs and a new-found appreciation for leggings.

Looks nice but a bit late to market... I already love my marware sportsuit sensor+, and black goes with any shoe...

Maybe I've been under a rock, but what's the BFD with this Nike+Ipod thing?
Sounds like a solution in search of a problem. An expensive solution...
expensive? It's $30 if you already have a nano.
in search of a problem? There are a shit load of runners in the world, and I'd assume that a lot of them would like an easy way to track their workouts. Combining a music player with a device that tracks workout data is awesome because it means I need to carry less stuff with me on my runs.
The Nike+iPod Sport Kit is really the only thing that makes me want an iPod. I wish there was something like it for my Sansa e270.
@Paul D...
Calm down, buddy. The Nike+iPod isn't forcing anyone to do anything. I own a Nano, I like to run, I went out and bought one because it tells me roughly how far I've ran, how many calories I've burned, and every once in a while someone like Lance Armstrong comes on and goes "Hey, way to go, you ran really fast today."
And if it gets some of the "Taco Bell for lunch, Mickey D's for dinner", heftier crowd motivated to move, or even if it gets anyone motivated to move, more power to it.
$8 for a clippy thing for your shoe laces though? I'll pass. I run in Mizunos and I just tuck the sensor under my laces. I've put over 100 miles on the sensor (usually in 5K increments) and I've never had a problem.
I just started using it and I think it's great - I still haven't calibrated it, but so far it's good at keeping rough track of my workouts, and visualizing it all online. It record distance, time and pace, and tracks it over weeks and months and years so you can see progress. If you have a Nano and you're already running or want to do it more, you really can't go wrong for $30. Even for $130 (refurb 2gb and a Nike+) it's a good deal, actually.
Wait, the Nike+ kit costs $30 itself! This thing is way overpriced. I'll stick with my plastic baggy and adhesive velcro strap. It's waterproof and works like a charm on any running shoe.
I don't think you understand what the Nike+ is, jmchez. It's not a plastic baggie.
Weatherman, you must really like to see your own words in print. Don't you?
Switcheasy.com is selling the adapter for $9.99 including shipping. http://www.switcheasy.com.

well i'm an idiot, didn't see the switcheasy link at the end of the article.
I already gots me some iShoes, so if I get this here clip-on device, I can mount the sensor on top o' my shoe and use the under-sole compartment to hide my weed! Thanks, RunAway!
Slightly off topic but may be of interest if you have a Mac:
