The iPod shuffle is so damn small it lends itself to customized applications, and Adam Zhang proves that by clipping the tiny player onto a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-F55 headphones. Adam admits that he's "sort of" a do-it-yourselfer, but he didn't need to tap into that vast skillset to dress a few cables and come up with this all-in-one design.
Clever mod, and the shuffle's clamp-on versatility isn't lost, either. Adam can simply unclamp the pint-sized player from his headphones and use it with its included earbuds, too. Sure, those Audio-Technica phones probably sound great, but even the stock buds from Apple are sounding better than they used to. Check out more pics of Adam's result:

By the way, the shuffle is an excellent player, a tremendous value for $80 with its great sound, 1GB storage capacity and micro-size. And yes, I bought it myself—it wasn't a freebie from the Cupertino Fruit Company.

Not likely for a MS ZunePhones: DIY All-In-One Headphones :/
where are the headphones.. I cant see anything...
"is so damn small it lends itself to customized applications"
Yeah, it looks almost as defying reality, funny thing is... there are hundreds of smaller players and with display, more functions, etc.
Damn ipod wankers.
So if he wants to change tracks, pause, adjust volume he has to reach up and poke at his head? He's going to look like a retarded chimpanzee.
Neat way to wrap the whole thing up, could be nice for listening to long podcasts, but I'd rather keep it in my pocket where I can reach/see the controls. The cord isn't that big a nuisance.
Don't make fun of the guy.
If he bought a shuffle he's already obviously got mental problems so give him a break.
A pair of cans, a shuffle and some duct tape: BRILLIANT!
/sarcasm
Reminds me of a girl I dated, scaught.
I didn't dig the shuffle or duct tape, but the CANS brother, the CANS!
This guy's idea beats the crap out of those lame Nano headphones that were on Gizmodo...last week?
How did he get the shuffle that color? I have not seen that color available. Is it just the angle of the shot?
Well... why not just clip the thing to your ear...
But really, this is hardly and innovative mod, it is a rather ugly and obvious solution to a problem that the design of the product already remedied.
fugly
Um....my roomate did the same thing...except he used my old Bose tri-ports and integrated them into his ear protection. It was so perfectly done you clouldnt even tell with close inspection...the shuffle was hidden under the foam inside the ear piece-this dude is totally weak sauce.
