Sometimes living in the United States is downright oppressive. The terrorists want our whole society to vanish, and the advertisements are dumbed down and scrubbed clean for the sake of a few highly vocal prudes. Not so in the Czech Republic, where the copy accompanying this iPod advertisement reads, "iPod, the best 'partner' for this year." Or maybe it reads, "iPod, better than sex this year." Accurate translations are invited and welcome.
And now we'll probably get complaints for showing this ad here at Gizmodo. We're betting none of those whiners will come from Europe. Anyway, nice way to wake up on a Friday morning.

Best product placement ever.
And:
where are the headphones?
OH BABY!
Thank you, Giz...
Boss is out today...Great time to post this one!
See, I'd just be afraid it'd fall out. ;)
And this is what happens when you have a land supposedly based on Freedom founded by Puritans.
Remember, True Freedom Offends Somebody. That's the glory of it.
As for the folks who complain about sexehpiccies on Giz, wouldn't your boss be just as mad your'e reading a blog and not doing work anyway? Does it really matter if a mud encrusted hottie is on the screen while doing it?
What iPod?
all I'm saying is that lovely booty seems to have what appears to be some sort of biohazard symbol tattooed above it.
nay muvleem chesky
It is racy, imagine coming across this ad on a billboard while driving.
damn. now ive got a iBoner
I'd buy that for a dollar.
Awesome, bluetooth headphones!
It is our god-given right, nay our duty, as Americans, to prevent anyone from being subjected to images of or references to anything sexual in nature in advertising, unless that advertising is for alcohol or girls gone wild videos.
"And this is what happens when you have a land supposedly based on Freedom founded by Puritans."
Key word here being supposedly. Turns out the founding fathers were actually pretty godless
Who stole her butt.............
The actual correct translation is, "This year, put me down the FRONT of your bikini."
Just thought I'd stop by to complain....won't someone please think of the children.
Here's the complaint you'll get here in Europe: "My iPod didn't come with one of those! Why didn't the system provide me a hot girl? I'm entitled to it! I didn't even get a slap on the ass from the sales guy for my 19%VAT."
Why yes, of course! Because geeks must get their kicks from public advertisement made of paper and ink. God knows that they'll never meet a bikini clad babe in real life. They don't even know how to buy porno or get a copy of the Victoria's Secret catalogue! So their masturbatory fantasies are all they have and those are being squashed by those darn puritans. It's not fair, I tell you. Not fair!
Ne rozumis cesky? O tom to je!
She clearly got one of these.
King of no taste!
Oh yeah, BTW, having worked in CZ before, I totally know this is nothing big. They hang nudie calendars in the office like its no big deal.
Wow, imagine explaining those tan lines.
>See, I'd just be afraid it'd fall out. ;)
Or in.
I believe the more accurate translation is:
"iPod: It's Music on Crack"
... or at least that's what it should say.
I can t be the only one thinking it is wierd that you are worried about "getting complaints" about this image when the next image down is one of the overly strange Gawker Artists images of some ugly naked guy wearing a fetish pig mask. :)
But hey, maybe that's just me...
As for boss being mad... No, he wouldn't be upset by me reading tech blog - it's my job to be in the know. Even though he'd like the image, I shouldn't keep it on the screen for long. Because some weak minded soul might see it and let their attorney do the rest.. sue sue sue. B/C they have and they do. Freaking lawyers. (I will say bikini is one thing, porn is another)
i'm sure it says, all i wish there was half balanced motor in it.
I'm pretty much sure that this is not an ad for ipods, cuz it's a picture owned by
http://www.huvafenfushi.com
and someone has bumped into it from my private mac homepage
http://homepage.mac.com/abbu/PhotoAlbum4.html
If someone had actually used it to advetise ipods, its crazy..:)
Maybe its a new dock....
I'm thinking about the whole idiocrasy around the PSP ads again. Yankee senators squeeling about photography in The Netherlands, is the world America's playground now? It's funny to note that just a single Dutchman had entered a complaint about the advertisment.
If you like this one, you should see our lingerie or sun bath oil ads we have here in Italy in our magazines or billboards! Or even TV at every hour :)
You should really come to the Czech republic, if you can't have bare ass on a lousy advertisement.
I tried to find the TV ad with naked Andrea Veresova, but with no luck. Will try a little bit longer.
