Sometimes the most basic convergence products can be the most useful. This is a portable mouse that includes a SD card reader. The USB cable on this optical mouse is also retractable. Add in a very sexy $11 price tag and this USB optical mouse SD card reader combination is ideal for any laptop user.

Awesome idea. They should offer different models that accept different types of cards, and maybe one that would accept a few types, just don't get carried away with *Compatible with 87 different memory card formats!*
my built in card reader does every one of the major formats except xD picture card. but for people who don't have that, or for me if i can ever afford a laptop, this mouse would be amazing.
push
but does it do SDHC?
Anyone remember that logitech mouse that vibrated? It was designed so the software would pick up "texture codes" in the HTML and try to mimic the texture of the item.
While it's kind of a cool idea and all, and I see where it could be useful... Am I the only one who noticed you can't really use the mouse with an SD card in it? It doesn't slide in any further. It just sticks out like that when you use it. If you're on a laptop, you could just go back to using and touchpad for a few min, and I guess you wouldnt need a retractable mouse for a desktop... but still. Maybe move the slot closer to the bottom, or at the front, so that the mouse could continue to be used while the memory card was in.
This looks very fake. I am pretty sure my SD card doesnt bend like that one seems to be and why isnt there any picture of what the mouse looks like less an SD card?
I call photoshop on this. Its probably one of those company's that have a really embarrassing name and when you order and send you money in, they wait, spend your money and send back a check saying "sorry, that item is on back order here is your money back" but the really embarrassing name is at the top of the check so you don't really want to take it to the bank.
They got the idea from Lock Stock and 2 smoking barrels.
my dell xps 1210 has a single slot that does sd/mmc/ms/pro/xd. this mouse is a good idea that wasn't carried far enough. the price difference for a multi card reader probably would have been $5 or less.
Sony has been making these for years (Memory Stick only, though).
