Wow. Now this is interesting. A company called Walletex has finally come up with a real "credit-card sized" USB drive, that really, truly looks and feels like a credit card. Meaning, it's not just rectangular and kinda thin. The Wallet Flash 1.1 is being touted as the thinnest USB drive on the market and as you can see, it's easy to store. Right now, sizes are 128MB ($29), 256MB ($49), 512MB ($89) and 2GB, which isn't priced yet.

But the big question will be 'Can I sit on it?' Credit card things are great until they break under 250 lbs of electronics-crushing, Whopper-eating geek.
Isn't having a usb drive as a keychain small enough? At tat size, it'd just get lost in a wallet of cards.
If you check out the manufacturer's website, you'll see its targeted more as a corporate branding gift. Although the double-sided USB plug is a good idea, I don't see anything about that part retracting, meaning it won't fit into any wallet I've ever owned, at least without the connector snapping off under 250 lbs of electronics-crushing, Whopper-eating geek or less.
Isn't the connector sticking out going to make it susceptible to snapping off? I'll have to go with the card-crushing comment above.
Ah, my mistake. Further investigation at the official site places the total width at exactly credit card size. Still a bit worried about the connector being isolated like that, though.
My first reaction was that the USB plug thing was just gonna snap off. There's no way it's gonna stay on unless it's reinforced. Even then it's doubtful I would want to keep data on it for fear of breaking off the connector. (where that stub meets the rest of the card just screams "fulcrum!"). When they get it retractable, then I'll have more confidence in it... (And finally - with a card that size, only 2GB? C'mon, the formfactor just screams for a lot of storage...)
