PowerSquid outfit their original AC power strip with a surge protector, an audible alarm system, and electronic and radio noise filters. It also has phone and coaxial surge protectors, which I've found a nuisance to hook up, but there's no sense in grounding your power cables only to have lightning jump through your telco lines. It'll easily wrap its tentacles around 6 power blocks, illuminating two of those sockets with blue LEDs when power comes straight for your brand new gaming rig on during a Summer storm.

I can see it now. Death by power cord flogging. One day, all WoW players will unite to form one nation. They will adapt Power cord flogging as their main form of punishment. Alas... Imagine when they come out with the 20 ft. version *><*
I approve.
Even the basic Powersquid seem to attract attention at my store.
It's a great design, and adding these extra features just makes a good thing better.
