Fish n' Flush Toilet Aquarium: Flushing Nemo

Some ingenious plumber cum marine biologist thought up a way to make double use of the flush tank in your standard crapper. This aquarium comes with some fake plants, a filtration system, and a seat with an "Under the Sea" motif. One thing to note before you drop $450 bills on this bit of porcelain: It uses half of its reservoir to hold your goldfish, meaning it probably has reduced ability to flush your home grown sea cucumbers. But note the LEDs - doubly useful for nightime fish gazing and peeing. And when your goldfish turn into floaters, this'll make it easier than ever to give them a burial at sea.

  • Wonderful idea I just worry that the crud on the inside of every tank now will be more visable. On the plus upper-deckers will be more visable.

  • At first glance, it looks like a nifty idea. However, I have a fish tank, and fish have a tendency to dirty up where they live. Aquarium water also has a lovely smell associated with that. So, you will be 'cleaning' your toilet with water that is already dirty/smelly, right? Admittedly, not a deal-breaker, especially if you clean your fish tank regularly. Still, it would make me think twice about it.

  • I assume this is completely separate from the reservoir system. Otherwise, every time you flushed you would ruin the water chemistry, especially with 2000 flushes.

  • Who is more degraded: The being forced to live in a tank of someone else's excrement? Or the being that forces someone else to live in his?

  • From what I can tell from the site, the $450 does not include the themed toilet seat or the actually bowl. Only the reservoir tank and the pumps. Which is kinda good actually, because replacing a whole toilet is a pain in the butt.

  • Although, the flush reservoir and the fish tank are separate, now it means that you ( or the maid) have two things to clean in the bathroom that you didn't before. The fish tank to keep the fish alive, and the flush reservoir to avoid the ugly mineral deposits that used to be invisible before.

  • Cardinal Fang: you do realise that the tank on top of a loo is filled with clean water right? It doesn't suck your turd up out of the bowl and then leave it there for you to clear up later.

Either way.. who would want to take a piss with all their fish watching? Fish are perverts, always gawping at everything.

  • Yeah, goldfish especially with those HUGE eyes. Yikes!

Just hope they don't do bubble commentary...
