  • Looks nice, but who the hell still uses VGA?

  • Remote? Three key combos are where it's at when it comes to PVM switching.

  • The problem with key combos is they don't seem to work seamlessly on multiple OS's. I've got the Belkin KVM that I imagine this is replacing, used for switching from an iMac to a Dell. The remote would be a nice addition.

  • That's weird. I thought the key combos were intercepted and interpreted by the KVM itself, not by software (worked that way on an old 8 port pro KVM I was using with PS/2, anyway)

  • Yeah, no DVI? And PS/2 ports? (Also, what's the deal with the same price for two models one of which has an extra feature?) I've just got a USB switch (which handles keyboard and mouse by definition) and I use the monitor's VGA input for my secondary computer, so switching involves two buttons (the one on the USB switch and the one on the monitor), or three if I need audio (one on my mixer, too) but I can deal. I don't use the other computer very often and when I do, that's what VNC is for.

  • KVMs piss me off. Very few support DVI, even fewer support dual monitors (even in VGA, dual DVI? forget about it). The few that are out there not only look horrid but are always overpriced. This industry has not kept pace with its users - not by a long shot

  • I've been looking for a KVM switch that has DVI and USB, but they are hard to find, and expensive when you do find 'em. I'd like to know why the hell these companies keep pooping out PS2/VGA switches when almost everybody is using DVI/USB? Yesterday I was in a Frys store looking for a switch: PS2/VGA: ~$30 USB/DVI: ~$180 No thanks. I'll just keep using my Dell monitor's extra VGA port and a spare wireless keyboard/mouse until these guys get their shit together.
