I don't know art, but I know a Spiderman 3 computer case when I see one. If God had started with computers instead of man, this may have been Adam.
Built as a competitor in the Coolmaster Case Mod Contest by Matt Fielder, the CMC/S3 case has high aspirations, with rumors buzzing regarding '08 presidential candidacy...president of my heart.
For a gallery rivaling the Louvre...

My spidey sense is tingling... in my pants.
carbon fiber keyboard?
oh my WOW i want that.
The attention to detail is unbelievable! The fabrication is wonderful, but what really sets it off, for me, is the clear hard-drive cover with the spider logo over top. When the cover is attached, the spider logo is shown through the eye. Awesome!
I think the eyes are upside dow or is he ment to be hanging upside down on a web?
Rimplestultskin........that's not a carbon fiber keyboard, it's a Saitek keyboard with a really, really fancy honeycomb paint job.
Nice job, though, I'm impressed. Not really a Spiderman fan myself, my childhood hero is Ghost Rider. And I have the comics to prove it.
The eyes seem random and without a face to be on. The spider is really nice, however, and the rest of the case looks pretty good too. Nice work, but nothing I'd get my panties in a bunch over.
awesome I want 2
Beautiful! Excellent translation of the Spidey design into the lasercut pieces, -which is usu the weakpoint of any replica.
-Don't know about that artwork on the top, & can't see the front & back.
-Otherwise, my sister would be for sale on eBay immediately! ...ok, my sister And my girlfriend; sister kind of looks like Mimi from the Drew Carey Show.
Actually, Matt was merely involved in the process - he didn't do the whole thing himself.
It was done by a company:
http://www.moddersmart.com
One of the key designers, artists, and person who made most of the custom equipment and water cooling was P.J. Pena at Moddersmart.
The whole team should at least be accredited...
To clarify my last comment: I did not intend to diminish anyone's contribution but point out that it was a team effort by a talented bunch of individuals...
Here is Matt's build log, you can see how much work he put into the polishing and assembly. (Linked from a digg comment by Matt).
Nice work.
The whole thing is a pretty detailed piece of work!
