Sure, you can tell which one of the pictures above is the digital Adrianne Curry, America's Next Top Model and all-around smokin' celebrity, but the digital version still manages to raise the gigahertz level a bit. She's teamed up with graphics cardmeister NVIDIA to create "the world's first real-time virtual 3-D celebrity."
NVIDIA says the digital Adrianne can demonstrate the same range of emotions, movements and attitude as her own sultry, cat-like real-world counterpart. She apparently likes the idea:
"I am honored to have been selected as the first celebrity for this project," said Adrianne Curry. "The Digital Adrianne is so realistic, it's really trippy. Lara Croft, eat my shorts!"Come on inside and feast your eyes on a quartet of tight closeups of the 3D version of Adrianne:
These are impressive graphics, but next we would like to see this 3D character in motion. NVIDIA? Send along the video and we'll post it. Better yet, let's have a QuickTime model we can manipulate ourselves.

Adrianne Curry deserves recognition for being the first celebrity to render herself functionally obsolete. Her digital replicant is more versatile; looks better in hi-res than the original; and will only get better with age.

Is this going to be a downloadable demo that we can run on our machines (like the Dawn and Dusk fairies before)? Because if so, most of nV's demos are... "/very/ detailed"... and the community tends to find a way to "remove their clothing."

Close-up, she looks great. As soon as you get about 'talking distance' back though, you can tell it's computer animation. I'd rather go cartoony rather than realistic. Realistic always looks like a pale mockery of the real thing, but a rendition with amplified features works better. At least for me, the women in a Ren and Stimpy cartoon (or that new Weird Al video done by the creator) would get me more aroused then this. this just comes off like a barbie doll, while the other comes off as cute.
I'd add my polygons to her uncanny valley, if you know what I mean.

They did her nose really bad...otherwise the 3D one is better than the real her.
Isn't "smoulder" spelled smolder? Either way, she looks better digital. Plus, you can't digitize skankiness.
the last two shots (close up face) look decent, but the rest don't look like anything new at all - look at GoW...

Amen, Strider! I was thinking that exactly! That first shot looks like two totally different people. The eyes are wrong, the lower lip isnt as full... They ought to do a better job before they start hawking this as realistic.
Maybe they can sell this to T-mobile and save a bundle on Mrs. Zeta-Jones' contract.
Ya it is a bad @ss animation that is for sure, who it looks like doesnt really matter. But it is nice to see that they gave her a digital boob job.

Its funny that the actress herself has fake breasts as it is and the programmers made them larger. I always found it strange that when artist create big boobs they fashion them after fake ones instead of real ones. If you can make any kind of breast, why not a natural looking large one? Best of both worlds if you ask me.

It's the virtual Adrianne that has implants.
With my experiance working with programs such as 3dsmax9, the modeling of her isnt anything spectacular, sure props for the high detail, but so what, rendering single frames should be childs play to a giant such as nvidia, unless its a full HD rendered animation i would be more impressed, but still even that is not much to speak for, movies like final fantasy and cars had to have been using years old technology.
want to impress me, make her live with a AI running her movements, at full HD res.
AAAAH! scary, I see lines on her forehead, beside her eyes, and look at those two extra-long nose hairs she's got going on.
Truthfully, the first three don't look too bad, but the expression and eyes on the very last one just do NOT mesh right. There's something really wrong, I just can't articulate it.

Kind of a weird first choice for a celebrity by NVIDIA, until you recall that several years ago, Christopher Knight, aka Peter Brady aka Mr. Adrianne Curry, worked for Nvidia as a marketing consultant. In fact, he had been working in the 3D hardware/software market for a number of years prior to his stint at NVIDIA.
The playboy spread was before the boob job. She said in an article she had the plastic surgery because one boob was over a cup size smaller than the other. I usually hate boob jobs, but hers are pretty scary in the playboy spread.

Wow, that's unbelievably creepy...looks like injection molded plastic and the skin texture is all wrong. Not to mention the weird-ass shading in that first picture.
These pics creep me out more than Real Dolls do...and that's saying something.
