The awesome Wiimote inspired mods keep rolling in. Today we have a Roomba being controlled by a Wiimote. Skip to about a minute into the clip to see the WiiRoomba in action. Awesome—my two favorite devices coming together as one.

I like to let my Roomba do its own thing personally...
Oh c'mon AngrySicilian, how can you argue the "flippin' awesomeness" of that?
Next, Robosapien. Then. The World.
Cats everywhere are plotting against the wii-controlled, cat scaring gizmo-conspiracy.
[cat dead stare, turn, then full kitty butt flash]
is it just me or does this guy look like matt damon?
cool nonetheless, but honestly, wouldnt it be faster and easier to just design it to be controlled by the directional pad of the wiimote?
it looks a lot like this guy i went to college with...who looked a lot like matt damon...so yeah.
that's pretty useless in terms of 'who would do that beyond just saying 'hey, i can do that'?' but it's cool that it can be done. when it can control my kitchen and make food for me, i'm on board.
Heeeeeeeey mom, the scary roomba wiied on the floor again, should we wii on the scooba and clean it up?
I'd hate to be Captain Obvious here, but why not just use a regular vacuum if you're going to be remote controlling the roomba?
thewevel - you're obviously missing the point here. Why would one go through unnecessary motions to complete a task when he can just sit there and finish it with the flick of a wrist? (pun definitely intended.)
Finally something constructive, gives me hope, there are still normal people out there.
The "smash my [stuff]" videos are annoying...
My advice: don't try stuffing this baby in your pants while it's on. Or you could end up damaging your pants. And possibly your Wii(wii)!
If I had a Roomba, I'd name it J. Edgar Hoover. NOT.
yeah i was just about to say the exact same thing
This has to be the coolest Roomba mod I've seen yet. Didn't the Wii just come out too? Damn people are fast. Not really sure of the usefulness. I have a roomba remote, it works just fine, but most of the time i don't use it. Just hit clean and let roomba go. Either way another cool hack.
Can't wait to see more modding with the new hackable iRobots.
