After an outcry by angry Lost fanboys everywhere, TiVo has added a new undelete feature to its service. When a show is deleted, it will sit in a "TiVo Purgatory" for an extended period of time before being automatically deleted. This will be coming in the Series 2 software update that should be out in the near future. Let's hope all of the stars of your soap operas will get along in the Recently Deleted folder.

This is a nice thing to add. I assume that with TiVo Suggestions that you'll be able to tell it to keep some amount of time available for you to keep your last X deleted shows/hours. As soon as it's filled though - goooooobye. This is great for the accidental deletion by one family member. I think that this person has the record worst TV viewing interests though. Come on, Beaches (save until I delete)?? Ellen Degeneres Show? CMA Awards (hahahahha)?? Smallville-90210-Days of Our Lives-presumably another soap opera?? Wow.
insert obligatory "I've been deleting for years on my hacked TiVo". Seriously though, this is handy. I'm not sure why it took so long for them to add it.
FINALLY! I suggested this to TiVo when it originally came out, but they said they couldn't for some reason. Hopefully this will help their sales! And now I can finally retreive the cough pr0n cough that I have to delete when I have people over!
