Certainly not for the claustrophobic, here's a new idea for a motorcycle body that s supposed to give you more energy efficiency, safety and convenience when you're riding that crotch rocket of yours. This concept vehicle from design group TECA is made of carbon fiber composite and honeycomb, and with its aerodynamic shape is said to give you 35% better performance and save lots of fuel. Notice the guy inside isn't wearing a helmet—maybe he figures that the vehicle is pretty much functioning as a brain bucket, too. Let's hope those doors open quickly, because when you stop, what happens? Does it just fall over on its side? Apparently function does not always follow form.

I liked it better back in 82 when it was called a "light cycle."
I saw a similar vehichle on the tube that basically had aircraft landing gears that came out the sides to stop you from falling over when you were going less that 5 mph. Where do that guys legs go?
Maybe it incorporates segway-like not-fall-over technology when stopped.
Um, I know this was asked in TFA, but "WHAT DO YOU WHEN YOU WANT TO STOP"?
From the looks of the pic, your legs are still exposed. Looks like dude is wearing jeans and boots. Good for stopping I guess, but it still looks a little akward though.
I remember seeing the one with the landing gear too, I think was called the icle-car or some crud like that. I also think they raced em in France briefly. I kinda wonder what's with the openings near the back, they don't appear to be for aerodynamic purposes. Maybe the landing gear foles down from within the hole.
You could open the door when you are stopping. Uhm, I don't see a door, how do you get in it without dropping it?
i can believe no one caught this! common people! its totally pac man!
I saw things like this when I lived in Europe in the late 80s, early 90s. I think you can catch a glimpse of them, along with the 'landing gear' in the Wim Wenders film, Until The End Of The World. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101458/
Here's a better side view -- lower half of legs and feet can slip into that open section in the back... Still not sure what keeps it upright at rest... http://www.coroflot.com/public/portfolio_file.asp?user_id=...
