In celebration of selling 3 million units, Tomy will be releasing a special discounted edition of their "Hidamari no Tami." With a 300 yen discount, the unit comes to 714 yen (about $7 USD). When trying to find out what the thing does, I learned that it just sits there and bobs its head under solar power. I now understand why 2 million units were sold within Japan, but what about the 1 million units Tomy says were sold outside of Japan? "Hidamari no Tami" roughly translates as "Sunshine's People."
