Convergence is the name of the game with this table from Gorenje. The table, which already looks futuristic as it is, has an automated refrigerator built in that will rise to the top with the push of a button. No longer will you have to make the painstaking trip from the dining room to the refrigerator for another brewsky. The table will be available next summer in a variety of materials such as glass, wood, stone and will likely cost a couple trillion.

Besides lifting up at the touch of a button can it do anything a box of styrofoam and ice cant?
Assuming that it has a compressor and refrigerant..it can not only keep things cold (for a short time) it could cool [warm] beverages down and keep them cold.
Eventually your cooler's ice will melt and not do a good enough job. Yo could stock this up pregame and refill at halftime.
Yay! Now I can spend that trillion dollars that I've been holding on to. That would be so cool to have when asking a guest if they want an ice cold brewski and then having one pop up from the table. Yet for some reason I'm thinking I've seen this in a beer commercial.
Add a slot so the empties can drop below the pedestal and be compacted as it retracts.
Thought it was a new B&O speaker for a moment...
