Obviously they are powered by the static electricity generated by walking on the carpet. And those big soles are really dirt storage tanks.

Just buy a roomba. *shrug*

Maybe if I can strengthen my quadriceps and abs a little more before these come out I could use them to walk up walls?

Like all concept stuff, they work on magic and handwaving...

I would substitute a pair of these for indoor slippers (for the guests). When you show them around the house they vacuum the carpet. I wonder if these work like the Swiffer CarpetFlick? You replace the "insoles" when they get full.

I've got an easier, low-tech solution. I just spray the cats with Endust. When I come home, I hold them out the window, and beat them together....

They could be fun... with enough suction power you should be able to walk on walls and the ceiling.
Just remember... do not kick the dog or cat... it'll get sucked right in... and your vacuum shoes would look like furry slippers.
