Ever want to spend $5,000 to be able to use an ancient technology to create an effect that hasn't been cool for 10 years? This will do it. The Horseman 3D is a non-digital camera that will create 3D images. No, this isn't a new age 3D, it is the same damn 3D that has the red and blue overlapping images and requires cheap glasses. At least the lenses are kind of neat.

What I don't get is why the color lenticular 3D cameras never took off? I remember seeing one in a Sears retail store back in the 80's and the results were pretty impressive. It had 4 lenses, took full-color pics and the image literally popped out at you without the need for special glasses. I never saw it after that one time, but I never forgot about it.
i still have one of those cameras, from Nimslo. and you are correct, the photos were very cool but expensive to develop. as for this thing, they can't possibly be serious about the price. for the quality you're going to get out of the red/blue effect, $129 would be too much.
If you look at the website, you'll note that it actually takes two complete photos, in stereo. You can see the 3d result in full colour using a stereoscope. The red/blue photo provided is an overlay example just for the website.
Here's the translated website.
...I REMEMBER WORKING ON 3D (STEREO) IN 1963... SO THIS IS NOT BIG DEAL...AND EXPERIMENTING WITH REAL 3D..(IMAGING WAS PROJECTED IN TO AIR...AIRIAL IMAGE) WITH HOLOGRAM LASERS...
