This is a bottle cap tripod. The screw-on tripod adapter has been integrated onto the top of standard soda bottle caps. Sometimes even the smallest mini tripods can be a pain in the ass to carry around all day, but these could easily fit into any camera bag and then turn an 20oz or even two-liter bottle into a convenient tripod. A very innovative idea, but at $20 each, you may want to look into making one of these yourself.

For half the price I'll deal with the real thing and it's pains in my ars: http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_c...
I almost tip my soda over once a day. I can't imagine it any safer on top of a beverage bottle.
This only works reasonably well if the bottle is mostly full -- get it mostly or entirely empty and all but the tiniest of cameras is likely to risk toppling over the top-heavy contraption, sending your digi to an unseemly rendezvous with the concrete. No thanks....I'll just use a beanbag.
I don't think you put your soda ontop of the beverage bottle inajeep, I believe you use it for a camera. But i didn't rtfa.
Not so innovative - this idea went around the 'net awhile ago as a DIY project. I made one for myself and carry it with me on many a small excursion. All it takes is a couple of washers and nuts and a 1/4" bolt. Cost me all of $0.30 or something.
Yea....30cents isn't bad. But youre obviously not getting the quality that you would find in a professionaly manufactured bottle cap tripod replacement.
Buy a soad, fill it will snow salt (oh, drink it first, the soda, that is) and then get a 1/4-20 screw and plunge it through the cap. There you go. a $3 TriSodaPod
TheZodiac — sure, but don't you get tired of carrying bags of snow salt around?
