    yeah, that pre-built mythtv box you had yesterday was cheaper... Plus the Mythtv will not delete your shows at the studios whim.

    Why: Because $680 is hardly a deal. It'll be $250 in no time fast. And you don't feel like being the schlub who keeps TiVo afloat because they can't figure out how to do it without gouging the gullible.

    Seriously, my hacked 1st generation TiVo does everything I need it to and it still has more space than this thing does. And I have no need for HDTV support so this thing has no compelling features for me.

    When it came out at $799, I put up a $35 antenna, installed 2 HD tuner cards in an old computer and installed BeyondTV.
