Looks like we've got some grain! Grainy shots of the Sidekick 3, that is. Reader Ncmac sez "BANNED by Hiptop forums!!!" so you know we're on to something.
Don't people know that by banning something they give it credence?[Thanks, Waverunner et al]
Rumor abt sidekick 3 ?? Read on... [AllDeaf]

WTF? So is that little grey circle on the right a scroll ball? A nipple/button navigator? Ech. I'm so hoping the features on this thing are at least improved (Here's hoping for Bluetooth), because it sure looks kinda bleah. And, just to add fuel to the rumor fire: I was at my local T-Mobile store the other day, and I overheard the employees talking about getting ready for the Sidekick 3 launch. Maybe I was just hearing things, but uh, yeah. More rumory goodness!
Agreed Nicole... Despite the fact that it does look pretty real, I don't think the authenticity of this is guaranteed by the fact that it was banned. The one thing that does make me think it's real is the placement of the microphone port on the lower right as opposed to the upper right as it is on the SK2. Other than that though, this looks like it could just be a highly modded SK2... I don't know, I guess it just seems too gawdy to possibly be real. The other thing that makes it seem questionable to me is that Danger hasn't seemed to have filed for any patents for a button/nipple controller like that. We'll see... I almost hope that is the sidekick 3 so I can switch to a phone with an open platform.
That actually looks pretty nice... I might go back to a Sidekick if they open the OS a bit, heh. But I wonder why they'd give up the wheel? I happened to like the one on the SKII quite a bit, actually. I used it a ton more than I did the lightshow d-pad, hehe.
we need some more forensics. those photos sharpened up pretty nice in photoshop, but i think the second photo could look better if we removed those bloody drawn in circles - special note to phantom hacker photogs - do not mess up already fuzzy photos with arrows, watermarks, and "LOOK HERE" circles.
hmmm look at the flash flare and the finger in the pic. they look almost exactly the same.
From everything I hear, opening the OS just isn't gonna happen with the SK. The price of the device is kept (relatively) low on the basis that people are going to buy apps. Hopefully danger will come out with a parallel line of higher priced, open platform products... tho somehow that seems a bit unlikely.
