Rumor: Apple and Dell Buying LED Backlights for 13-Inch MacBook Pros, High-End Ultraportables
DigiTimes, our favorite Taiwanese collection of rumor and speculation, is reporting that Kenmos Technology and Nano-Op have both started supplying Dell and Apple with LED backlight units for 12.1-inch and 13.3-inch notebooks, respectively. They add that the shipments are "for high-end models," like the MacBook Pro. 13-inch MacBook Pro, you say?

Led Zeppelin Changes Tune, Puts Whole Catalog Online
Remember when we told you Led Zeppelin was coming to iTunes in November, but only as a 24-track sampler? Well, that song did not remain the same. Page and Plant (and Jones, if he has a vote) decided that they will release the entire catalog digitally, and not just through iTunes. Starting November 13, all Zep albums will be availalble from all all online music retailers, plus over-the-air downloads on Verizon Wireless. That sure is a whole lotta love. [Reuters]

Led Zeppelin to Finally Show iTunes How the West Was Won
At long last, Led Zeppelin debuts on iTunes—but not until November 12 (boo). And it looks like we won't be getting the group's full catalog either, at least not at first. Instead we're getting a collection hand-picked by Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones dubbed "Mothership." Apple Illuminating Touchpads and Clickwheels
According to a patent filed by Apple, the company's MacBook touchpads and signature iPod clickwheel might be in for a very visual overhaul. The proposed technology will allow for both lighting and color responses to user interaction.
