100% of MacBooks Getting LEDs in 2009

According to the Taiwan-based Economic Daily News (who has spoken with Apple's chief LED supplier), every MacBook shipped in 2009 will have an LED-backlit display. Consider the news unconfirmed, but the transition would certainly make sense, as Apple already uses LEDs in its MacBook Pro and MacBook Air lines. Aside from LEDs being an eco-friendly solution for display production, they're also excellent for brightness, color and battery life. We'll be pleased to see this happen. Literally. Led Zeppelin Changes Tune, Puts Whole Catalog Online

Remember when we told you Led Zeppelin was coming to iTunes in November, but only as a 24-track sampler? Well, that song did not remain the same. Page and Plant (and Jones, if he has a vote) decided that they will release the entire catalog digitally, and not just through iTunes. Starting November 13, all Zep albums will be availalble from all all online music retailers, plus over-the-air downloads on Verizon Wireless. That sure is a whole lotta love. [Reuters]

Led Zeppelin to Finally Show iTunes How the West Was Won

At long last, Led Zeppelin debuts on iTunes—but not until November 12 (boo). And it looks like we won't be getting the group's full catalog either, at least not at first. Instead we're getting a collection hand-picked by Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones dubbed "Mothership." If it's the same as the physical version (which appears to be vastly superior feature-wise), it'll span 24 songs of the greatest hits variety. Hit the jump for the full tracklist.

Jobs wants Apple to be a green Apple. In this message to the little people, he outlines his plans to save Mother Earth by changing the way Macs are made.
